Whyalla boast some of the best shopping facilities outside of Adelaide. There are several shopping precincts within the city offering a variety of specialty shops, services and large department stores. Whatever you need you will be able to find it in Whyalla.

City Plaza

An open shopping strip with over 90 businesses and services as well as ample free parking for cars and caravans. It offers historical charm, architectural style, recreational and leisure attractions and is located within walking distance to some of Whyalla's most beautiful tourist attractions. Stroll down the City Plaza and enjoy the ambience and the fresh air. The precinct has great appeal with on and off street parking, with a variety of retail, services, hotels and café's it is a great place to shop or just relax.

Westlands Shopping Centre

The largest undercover shopping centre in regional South Australia, Westlands shopping centre offers a variety of departments stores, supermarkets, specialty stores and food hall. Large car park with plenty of parking for caravans. The Car Bath, Radio Rentals, Hungry Jacks, McDonalds, Pizza Hut, KFC, Video Ezy and Woolworths Petrol Plus are also located within the carpark.

Flinders Shopping Centre

There is a major department store located on McDouall Stuart Avenue in the Flinders Shopping Precinct offering wide range of goods. The store attracts visitors from around the region and is a big asset to the City.

McDouall Stuart Shopping Strip

This shopping precinct has gone through dramatic growth in recent times. Between, McDoualls Stuart Avenue, Ian and Murray Street are a variety of stores which include, Masters In the Art of Hair, Spotlight, Cheap as Chips, Bob's Home Hardware & Outdoor Centre, Repco, Supercheap Auto, Electrical Discounters, Toyworld and Sportspower.

Playford Avenue Shopping Strip

Located on one of the main roads through Whyalla, Playford Avenue shopping strip, offers a range of small retail outlets, hotel, café and take-away outlets.
