SteelCap Gallery

The buildings of the Tanderra Craft Village are of interest due to their heritage significance - they are the original BHP single men’s quarters built in 1942 to house the large workforce working in the shipyard and in later years the steelworks.

Browse through the SteelCap Gallery on site and view the exhibits, photographs and historical memorabilia of the early BHP and shipbuilding era.
