2020 uneARTh info night
Put next Thursday fortnight in your diary if you want more information about performing, setting up a stall or scheduling your event at next year’s uneARTh festival.
The City of Whyalla’s premiere festival is holding an Information Night at the uneARTh HQ (the old Civic Library on Patterson Street) on Thursday, November 21 starting at 6pm.
At the Information Night you’ll find out how uneARTh is growing to include multiple events in the days surrounding the regular free family-friendly all-inclusive feature day on Saturday, March 21 in Ada Ryan Gardens. You’ll find out how performers, stall holders and food outlets can be a part of the feature day or how you can build your own event into uneARTh schedule.
PERFORM AT UNEARTH: Come along to the information night if you think you have an act for next year's festival.
Along with the Saturday, March 21 feature day there will be a new official opening event on Friday, March 20.
Rebecca Neilson, from the uneARTh organising committee, said the 2020 festival had outgrown its normal two days of activities in Ada Ryan Gardens and moved from the Easter weekend to give more locals, and visitors, the chance to attend and Get Connected with the award-winning event over more than just the previous two days.
“Saturday, March 21 is going to be awesome as we cram the normal stack of performers, art, craft, culture, activities, food and fun into one day as we go from 10am to 10pm,” Rebecca said.
“We’ll have the major acts on the big stage plus a variety of performers, arts, craft, food and activities throughout Ada Ryan Gardens.
“We’ll also have a new official opening event on Friday night, screening of the 60-minute Film Festival (on another night to be announced) and plenty more events to come.
“We are now encouraging performers or stall holders to register for the feature day or groups to stage their own event, exhibition, activity or performance as part of the uneARTh program.”
CONNECT WITH THE FESTIVAL: uneARTh organisers are encouraging groups to schedule their performances (like Eyes, pictured, last year) with the festival program.
The winner of the $500 uneARTh Poster Competition will also been announced at the Information Night. Entries can still be submitted until Monday, November 11. Go to ENTRIES STILL OPEN FOR UNEARTH POSTER COMPETITION
