Our sustainability approach blends practical environmental actions with education, cultural inclusion, and digital innovation.

Our Sustainable Practices

  • Paper not plastic - We’re a plastic bag free centre, providing reusable or recycled alternatives —supporting South Australia’s leadership in waste reduction.
  • Go Digital - Access maps, guides, and local attractions are available via QR codes. This approach keeps information current and eco-friendly.
  • Online Bookings - We support digital bookings for tours and accommodation to reduce paper use and streamline the travel experience.
  • Reducing Paper Waste - We offer electronic receipts and brochure return and recycling.
  • Locally Sourced & Eco-Friendly Products - We proudly stock merchandise and gifts made in Whyalla and surrounding regions, including items crafted from recycled materials—supporting local makers and reducing transport emissions.
  • Sustainability in Action: Across our operations, we integrate energy-efficient lighting, water-saving systems, recycling programs, and digital tools like QR codes to reduce waste and promote responsible resource use.
